“In Louisiana, black women were put in cells with male prisoners and some became pregnant. In 1848, legislators passed a new law declaring that all children born in the penitentiary of African American parents serving life sentences would be property of the state. The women would raise the kids until the age of ten, at which point the penitentiary would place an ad in the newspaper. Thirty days later, the children would be auctioned off on the courthouse steps ‘cash on delivery.’ The proceeds were used to fund schools for white children. . . many of [the black children] were purchased by prison officials.”

ML7102 COVER_WEB

During my Labor Day Excursion to Las Vegas Nevada I took a few hours and composed some notes. My experience took me up Hwy 93 a very long and narrow road. My vision only sees the motion of the mountains as eye entered Nevada with these beats in my head that needed to be released and arranged to the public. Pretty bizarre trip to Las Vegas the land of Impossible Burgers and parties, naked woman and music 9/1/2019

Rest In Power: Geto Boys’ Bushwick Bill Passes (courtesy of @HoustonChron)

Courtesy of Houston Chronicle A Caribbean immigrant with dwarfism whose stage name derived from the New York neighborhood where he grew up, Bushwick Bill was an outsider in just about every way, which made him a quintessentially Houston artist. Richard Stephen Shaw – one third of the classic Geto Boys lineup – died of pancreatic cancer early Monday morning in Colorado at age 52.

With the Geto Boys, Shaw added his voice to a trio of classic hip-hop albums, and played a starring role in one of the most notable album covers ever made. He was typically fed his rhymes by writer/rappers Brad Jordan (aka Scarface) and Willie Dennis (Willie D), but he played the part of rapper and hype man with unparalleled flair and distinction.

As time passes my thoughts become more personal and only exist in full embrace of myself. I write as an adult who has experiences that are uncompromising. As a Man I never accept the poison in which the planets negative citizens have forced upon me. I live to write from my zone and area set a part by unconscious surroundings. These stories are written from the clarity of a lone mind that denounces colonialism. With production by Dion Brown and In Other Wordz in a very jazzy melodic smooth sound that helps to carry the poetic rhymes that I have written for this project. Listen as my voices journey narrates my expressions as I formulate thoughts using freedom of my mind.
